Antwerp based painter, Piet Raemdonck (Kronenburgstraat 41b, www.pietraemdonck.com), is just one of the many remarkable people I have had the privilege of meeting (thanks to friend G). His amazing contemporary work contains still life, landscape and portraits. Normally, have to be honest, not really my kinda thing, but there's something so elegant about how he paints, menacing but beautiful at the same time, really fascinating. Everytime I drove by his window, I was drawn to his paintings....
.... I think because, the combination and the choice of his colours are so unique.
Exploring the crossover of art and fashion, he showed eight portraits inspired by Dries Van Noten's winter collection 2010-11, at the flagship store in Antwerp ( Paris and Hong Kong) , gorgeous !
This lovely guy is the sort of person you listen to because he talks with so much passion, really inspiring, .....
