Even tough I'm no longer a student, I still love the school prep style. Love multi-colored satchels, love schoolsupplies, love mixing school-boy accessories with feminine pieces, love these cool schoollooks  .....

Denim prints

This seasons biggest denim trend : floral, stripy, starry, leopardprint, zebraprint .......endless patterns to choose from. They look great with a slouchy vest or crisp white shirt or even a chunky knit.

Carefull with this trend, look for a skinny or straight jeans. I don't think that a printed flare will look good ...

You know Leelee Sobieski. Of course you do. But did you ever notice her style ?

She has this thing, I don't know, allways looking fab, even with a fashion designer husband (Adam Kimmel) that's no a guarantee ....but she does. I love her streetstyle and her polished evening looks( and her cute blonde bob). She 's got style, she really does ...

She has a wardrobe to die for ...

Style from Belgium :DVF

Belgian born designer Diane Von Furstenberg keeps appearing in every magazine I open here in Spain. I admit I am her biggest fan ( must be, I read everything about her): she is a lady with intellect, a lady with edge, lived the American dream before she was even 30, selling million of wrap dresses (and yes, we are blessed with a DVF store in Antwerp). Who doesn't want to meet the most iconic woman in fashion ? I think half the world wants to be her buddy,  (I want) !!!

She wrote a book, launched a home collection, a perfume, a jewellery line.....decorated a room at the Claridge's Hotel, ...... all in her signature style .....and she lived quite a life from partying at Studio 54 to President of the council of Fashion designers of America ( no wonder they call her "Diane Von Fabulous") 

 

Her opinion about botox ? " All I want is my old face. I don't think I would know how to handle a new one. My face is a souvenir of my life "

And by the way , her resort 2012 collection is gorgeous !!!! And so is her prefall 2011 collection ......

Life's a beach

Sunny house by the sea ? Tick . Cool blue swimming pool ? Tick. Daybed in the garden ? Tick. Sunshine all day ? Double tick. Internet ? Noooooooooooo way. Spending summer in spain right now at the perfect location for living the laidback lifestyle but OMG it's been so hard to find a place over here with internet connection.......

If you ever make it to Biarritz , visit the lovely restaurant " le surfing" (9, Boulevard du prince -de-Galles) , pop into "Betiko" for stuff, furniture, decoration ... ( 7, Av. de Cumba) and a nice place to meet the surferboys and girls "Heteroclito"(48, Chemin du Port-Plage de Guéthary) with stunning views on the waves ...
