DRIES VAN NOTEN'S MIDSUMMER NIGHT

Nothing but admiration for this Spring collection and nothing but admiration for the designer, and not because he's Belgian but because he's a genius and always knows how to surprise his audience.   He is one of a kind, never following any fashion rules. Van Noten's magical "Midsummer Night's dream" setting was simply amazing. Deep colours, ethnic prints, dreamy fabrics, striped organza, combining the seemingly uncombinable, the whole catwalk looked like a painting with the models reposing on the mossy carpet. The perfect poetic finish for this fairytale.

Made in Belgium: Raf Simons for Dior

Belgian desginer RAF SIMONS for DIOR Spring 2013 ready-to-wear debut was a real hit amongst the fashion elite. Bright colours, beautiful floral prints, tuxedo coat dresses (in a sexy way), even insect inspired looks in silk and tulle, it all looked amazing.  Loved the asymmetrical hemlines that hung over plain black shorts. The make up ? Genious ! Fab ! His sensuous take on minimalism... wow, no reason to be shy anymore...... hope he realises how good he is and this was all just the start ...

O lala, Olala, c'est magnifique. The first resort collection from Belgian designer Olivier Theyskens for his Theyskens Theory line is just amazing, plenty of slouchy pieces, floral bohemian dresses ...... and fab accessories like sandals with thik wedges, boots, pumps, .... and everything presented with 

such a sense of style ......
