It was all about Kenzo in Paris. Curiously waiting for their fashion show....
Carol and Humberto declared " to have been impressed by the ocean, its power, its constant change, its ability to cultivate life and our reliance upon it. Our youth was also marked by the historic underground L.A. music scene and inspired us for our women's collection for Spring/Summer 2014."
That why their women's show, featured geometric and graphic aqua motifs, fish prints ... with overfishing in already crowded marine territories as a key print, trying to bring awareness to the fashion crowd. They like the idea of fusing classic tailoring with beach living. The theme was water; ocean-like colours and wave shapes took over their spring runway show. The vibe was cool and contemporary (also because of the music) with a focus on pattern play. I love it !
To complement Kenzo’s beach-themed collection, the makeup artist Aaron de Mey used a bright white stripe on the upper lash line to evoke the crests of waves. Simple but beautiful.
XOXO
