Let your tears come, let them water your soul .......

Please go visit the "Waterlanders" exhibition showing 35 remarkable portraits of famous Belgians photographed by Bart Heynen. What started as an experiment for "De Standaard magazine", capturing people at a vulnerable moment when tears just began to flow, grew into this unique exhibition and a beautiful book. Even if you don't know all these people (like me), you're still curious about them because if you magnify a photo of a person crying and this in a face to face shot, creates an impact and lots of drama.

The fact that it's not the standard exhibition in a standard gallery, makes you appreciate the images even more. Love it ! (Eglantierlaan 104 -Wilrijk, wed -friday from 13 till 18 h, saturday from 12 till 18 h or by appointment),

My favorite look of the day .......

Peter Lindbergh in Antwerp

I recently visited Peter Lindbergh's exhibition at the Photo museum in Antwerp ( FOMU until 29th of january) . His work is amazing, wonderful, wonderful pictures everywhere....I am his biggest fan. The series "Berlin" which he made for Vogue in 2009 shows you lots of top models and on top of that lots of world famous images from his recent work.

At the same time you can visit the unique retrospective of Frank Philippi, Belgian photographer, and his post-war photography.

The museum is not really child friendly and you are not allowed to take anything, but really anything (except your friends) with you. I think they're afraid you might put a photo (they' re huge) in your Chanel ..... The museum is not really shop friendly either, they hardly have anything in stock and the saleslady smelled as if she had a hangover ( smoke and alcohol) .....but Peter was all worth it.
